I can do the job without my car but end up waiting for bags all the time, getting pssed wet through and then need 3 buses to get home at aroubnd 2.30. If I use my car then I'm done for 11.30 and thats the incentiv I want.
You seem to see Royal Mail as some sort of enemy that your trying to beat. You also seem very angry towards Royal Mail.
I dont expect people to agree with me but I do my job, take all my mail and go home and thats all I want

The trouble with using your car as you have said, you make 3 hrs a day, eventually your duty will be shortened by that time, I agree with tommo.

Dreamcatcher Tommo is a man who speaks from his heart and may not be everybodys cup of tea but he is spot on with what he is saying.He has been there done it and got the t.shirt when it comes to working in Royal Mail and is just pointing people in the right direction for there own and everybody elses sakes.He can go a bit over the top ,but cant we all when a nerve is touched but its all for the good of posties up and down the land.I can see your point but will use myself as an example,i do my job as 318 and yes there are days when i get pissed off and want to get home(40 mile drive) but i can wake up every morning and know that i am not helping towards any possible job cut in my office.That more then makes up for finishing a bit early.

Why can't you drive your car to work, leave it there, take out a trolley or get bag drops, then drive it home after you've dropped off your signing card?

being out on the single days is good and appreciated, but if we just do that one thing each week this action will last forever.
If we do our jobs properly on our return to work then the knock on effect will last all week, do you not think that will have a greater effect on the powers that be. How come you are willing to lose a days pay to make your statement once a week but when you get the chance of making the same statement each and every day of the week at no cost to yourself you're not interested. That doesn't make sense to me.
You say your union has only asked you to go out one day a week so that's all you're doing, well don't forget WE are the union, it's nothing without its members, so ask around and see what your colleagues think.

If I had left my car at home and had bag drops etc I still wouldnt go over my time. All but 1 on my section use their cars along with our union rep.
I would love it if everybody worked to rule but people have becomed dissalutioned and very selfish
solidarity has broken down to a certain degree. Although the turnout at the lines was brilliant and mine was
much better than i ever expected can we get these people and the rest to do the job properly?
This is the only thing i am unsure of because i know people so well.

Is the door locked at your office. If you feel like that towards RM then maybe it's time to leave.
I have days when the job does my head in but some on here seem to hate everything about the job and seem really down.
Why should I leave? Why not try to improve conditions and make the job more toerable for everyone? We don't all want to be bosses arsewipes like you you know.

good call IWW I am sick off theses knobs who cut corners use thier cars etc then try and justify it
