Post strike chaos may be in days

DEADLOCK

Union leaders are today due to set dates for a national post strike - with first walkouts as early as next Monday. The bitter row over jobs, pay and services continues to intensify after a huge vote in favour of industrial action.

Options for the Communication Workers Union include calling all 120,000 workers to strike or staggering walkouts between departments.

Any action will cripple post deliveries across the country.

Union leaders are also expected to call for talks with the Royal Mail to break the deadlock - but there is little sign of a breakthrough.

A spokesman said: "We don't think Royal Mail want to reach an agreement. The plan seems to be to keep talking until after Christmas and then impose more changes in the New Year."

The Royal Mail insists changes it is making are part of an agreed deal between the two sides to modernise the service. The Government is refusing to intervene.

This is going to be a long and dirty fight brothers & sisters and as a union we must remain strong and united if we want to win this battle, we all need to pull as one, outwith our own circle we have few friends, what this country badly needs is a general strike for all public sector workers because we are all being treated as sh!te with politicians linning their own pockets and managers recieving disgusting bonuses whilst the ordinary guy doing all the work recieves the square root of f*ck all, they think because we work for them that they own us, time to stand up and that goes for the clowns that scabbed during previous strikes .... it should be hammered into them in no certian terms what is at stake and how things will change for the worse if we lose
