Thanks to all for supporting the strike

Post by Sidecar Dave »

Don,t know how many posties from my office (Hereford) visit this forum. But I would like to thank every single one of them who supported the day of action on 29th June. At 3:30 am we had 24 pickets on the gate and it was raining hard. Just so impressed to see so many there, been 11 years since last strike so did,t know how much support on the front line there would be now. We had several young posties which is great to see, right though to those about to retire. We have about 211 people at Hereford only 3 union members crossed picket line and 3 non members. Don,t let management divide us they would like to see the back of the union.

I was most impressed with the turn out at mine, to be honest i was expecting a few and i had 40 in the end.
It was great to see everybody standing together and the management were sick to see so many out there i'm sure of it.
They thought the rain would put people off but no feeling is too strong.
thanks to everyone who made the effort and the ones that didn't perhaps next time.
