Yorks.

Post by Lounge Lizard »

A shortage of yorks is causing problems where I work, a shortage no doubt caused by so many of them being full of delayed mail at certain locations, but how widespread is this shortage of yorks across the country ?

We've still got plenty of them. Why hasn't your Manager put a Movement Order in? :confused

Because manager and movement are mutually exclusive terms?

Exactly the same where I am. Lack of yorks, sleeves and boxes. One of us has to stand guard on the seg to stop them being nicked.

We seem to be short on yorks some nights, I don't see many of them MK3 yorks about. We have enough sleeves, though many of the sleeves are starting to fall apart, many have at least one broken clip. I expect that all our boxes, sleeves and yorks will mysteriously vanish a few nights before the start of xmas pressure.

You're not seeing many of the newer Mk3 Yorks because they are
being withdrawn from service and having their brakes modified.

Just a possibility , maybe the yorks are being stashed at various outhouse locations in preparation for Xmas and IA
