Business Post Group's first half has gone well and trading is in line with expectations although revenues are down by around 3%.

It said high levels of efficiency enabled it to reduce operating costs which more than offset the impact of the lower revenues.

It said that as expected revenues in its parcels business declined year-on-year, although it continued to see an improving trend in volume and revenue performance during the period.

Its mail business continued to grow, with revenues benefitting from the recent contract wins and revenues in specialist services were slightly down year on year although this masked a stronger contribution from the courier business.
