hess i'm under the same branch as yourself your points are most valid, the reps at these offices have distanced themselves from the unfortunate few that have had the guts to take on RM for ignoring national agreements or imposing executive action in our offices. These offices that have earned there pennies on the back of members who have been forced into IA through no fault of there own should be ashamed(and you know how you are) for letting you fellow workers down, as i recall at one of our branch meeting we decided that if one office was targeted then we would all come together but it just goes to show you in your little clockwork offices of which RM will eventually close down to build new super D.Os under there modernisation plan and thats when you will get what you DESERVE.

What we have probably done for RM by having individual strikes is complete a time and motion study for RM who have seen if they close X & Y and divert the mail to to W & Z then we can make even more savings !!!! just by a bit of extra o/T and then sel the two offices !!!

Lets face facts there are no excuses for handling mail and earning on it when others on strike. Posters who say that its our fault that we have taken strike action locally rather then on a national basis is a red herring. Are we really saying we cant ever have local disputes again ? We are fighting for a future and we are fighting for everyones future and it is not acceptable that others undermine our action by doing our work on overtime when they could easily say no.

I got a phone call yesterday from an Area processing rep from a mail centre just outside London saying that 370 yorks of our work had just arrived in their mail centre and when I asked how that work was going to be done their reply was that it was open overtime like christmas and whatever they said their members would ingnore. Sadly they are not the only mail centre doing our work on overtime and sundays and you know it.

Lots of people talk a good fight but if some branch`s can stop members from doing overtime on our work what chance have they got of getting those members out on strike. I know that in London we would not do that but there again we got principles and believe that if we are a trade union then we dont do the dirty on each other.

Fed up with excuses over this issue no one can justify the fact they are kicking their fellow union members in the teeth who have now taken 14 days strike action.

Absolutely. What the f**k is up with these people? Luckily or unluckily I work in a small delivery office of around 4o walks. We have not been out yet as we have had no EA brought in .We do not lapse although they seem to think we will :left: .If any overtime from other offices was offered we would tell them to poke it.
