It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

In order to be impartial in how to vote, though I can't imagine anyone who hasn't voted yet, lets not look at what others may or may not be doing but instead look at our own circumstances and ask - is this the way to modernise and improve the service, pay and conditions - if your answer is Yes then vote NO but if the answer is NO then vote YES.

Thats correct, there are lots of offices in London that introduced new duty structures as per pay and mod agreement, these included 9 day fortnights, wallington weeks(work 6 days a week then have a week off at the end of the 5th week i think)and 4 day weeks, which my office was one.
Management dont like these duty structures and have now used Executive action and put us back to a 5 day week on the same duty structure, with 8 people without a duty. And by the way our walks are 3-3.5 hours with massive prep, heres my frame.

That looks a fair size  Is it single or double slotted?

PS: In our WTLL today we were told taking pictures or video inside RM premises is now banned - I wonder why :chuckle

A bit of both mate, like i said ive only 400 delivery points but most are houses converted in to 3 flats.
I take out a HCT and have 4 11kg bags bought out from weds onwards, how about those redrections, the most ive ever had was 85.It takes me just as long to prep and tie up then it does to deliver.

I like that a "Sticking point" for actually doing something that was in the Pay and Mod agreement :left: :left: :left: :left:

Here its is from the LTB announcing the deal
PAY AND MODERNISATION AGREEMENT

NEW WAYS OF WORKING/FLEXIBILITY

Royal Mail has committed to introduce innovative duty pattern. This is an opportunity for the Union to develop 4 day weeks and 9 day fortnights etc.
and the actual agreement itself
Innovative Duty Structures: Units will take the opportunity to review existing duty structures and identify innovative approaches to meet the above objectives.
