Plenty on today. Loads of flats. Packets were slightly down for me on a Friday but I had 7 recorded deliveries so that wasted a bit of time.
Oh and a bit of lapsing not far from where I live, about half a bag (4 bundles) and a packet.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
as soon as i walked through the door i had people complaining about other people who had been winding them up over the strike
then when i had attempted to calm them down, i saw just how much mail we had on
then my DOM wanted to talk to me in the office, told me they are talking about closing our office and moving us in with another office 5mile away
that went down like a ton of bricks
i was so glad to get home today

A real nightmare today, I arrived in to find 11 walksorted trays sitting at my frame, plus the other 2 that came down on the second lorry etc. so just an average day

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Another totally crap day in a what has been a rubbish week so far.
industrial action around the country meant that we fell short of "live" stamped mail Tuesday,
So RM hit us with mountains of mail-sort , mass postings from banks and businesses.
easy for RM to do this as there is always long dated stuff in either ours or the customers warehouses
The effect on our frames was a 100% drop rate and more flats than letters, very heavy.
Customers receive mail so it creates the illusion of normal service.
Today hit hard by parcels that have been held up somewhere else.
leave office with first bag and bike paniers full of packets, at my drop are 5 pouches regular mail+1 pouch with just packets in . we are all asking for trailers for our bikes!
my patience with rm is near total gone.

Not too busy today, even the packets weren't too bad. Bit windy outside but still warm enough for the shorts.

Couldn't complete Saturday so I'm in the office on Monday as the DOM wants to go through the cutting off procedure with me. Trouble is they keep moving the goal posts so it's hard to tell what is the correct way.
Whole thing is making me stressed.
