Re: Diversions
No mail from north of the border, but we have been getting london stuff for a while, plus been told to expect 2 arctics of bristol mail in the next 24hrs.Not happy, but what can you do about it?Once the stoppage is over you gotta do it,or face a wilful delay charge!

same as it ever was...

Re: Diversions
No, sadly, you can't. Some people DO refuse to do it. But they then end up on disciplinaries. But as Overtime is voluntary (unless you're on an S/A Contract), you can refuse to do the overtime neccessary to get the work done. After all: You've already got your own work to do, before they start adding the diverted Mail. And there's only so much work you can do, in your contracted hours.

Re: Diversions
poor communication from our union
Tonight almost signed for some overtime tonight but found out if i did it i was shafting some of our members. They are striking slightly different to us (not certain why) but management have covered those jobs with overtime. I almost put name dopwn when a postie said that area were striking and thats why there was so much overtime, almoset scabbed but it took a couple of posties to tell me, never heard a thing from any cwu reps about not signing for it

Re: Diversions
well done to all these brothers (and sisters) who dont line their pockets through other peoples hardship it is totally wrong but saying that, people that have no consience outweigh those that do(i hope im wrong on that) i already had a good ole rant at POSTGHOST in the UNION ROOM ,but it was futile .....people have no shame integrity, principals etc. etc. dont feed the kids or pay the mortgage ,and i can understand it...truly,but maybe our integrity runs deeper that theirs . or are we the stupid ones ...............
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
