Bristol Postal Workers Walk Out Again

Postal workers walk out again tonight, in the continued strike against Royal Mail.

It's claimed that 750,000 mail items in Bristol are in flux as a result.

To that end, the Communication Workers' Union doesn't have the support of local commerce, who say that the strikes are damaging Bristol's small businesses.

Across the country the backlog has soared to tens of millions of items, and union bosses say it is bigger than at the height of a national strike held two years ago.

A national ballot of 130,000 members of the Communication Workers' Union has begun on whether to make strike action national.

Royal Mail are already in talks with the union.
