Just ask them those 2 questions and then ask for training if they want you to do those 2 tasks.
They didn't actualy want me to do it. It was just a threat to see my reaction, to worry me enough to stop cutting off. I called their bluff and it worked.

If a manager asks you to do a sorting test ask him first if you could see him attempt to manage.

We had this rubbish today,some jumped up manager who dont know his left from his right came round and huddled this.

We are going to start to test you all on IPS from monday and we will also be testing you all on prep :cuppa we then had a very heated talk on how they were going to test staff on IPS when they did'nt do that in thier duty (only as i understood it you had to be trained in the first place and if you dont do that how were they going to test us?)
We then got onto prep testing and as you all know there is no agreed standard,this numpty then told us there was an agreed standard from 2003?so we asked what the rate was for diffrent items of mail and asked would they be counting the mail on a prep test, no was the answer we do an over all average and from that we can work out how much you have and how long you should take to prep your walk :nervous now i am not being bright here but dont you have to count what you got to be able to work out how much you can achieve in the alloted time :d'oh!
We then asked what happens if the whole office fail thier test he then said he wouldd NCI us? then he would look to dismiss us for wilful delay,when pushed for answers to that he then said that we was being disrepectful so he was not going to talk to us got abit shirty and walked of saying your gonna be tested gett use to it :nervous
Any one had this with the managers where they are?
