Day off today :Very Happy just waiting for you know what.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

We got a load of local council magazines in about 11am on Thursday morning. A4 size, wrapped in baggy plastic, for every front door. On Friday our two `Sierra Charlies` sorted them into IPS, then into some LTFT frames. The boys came in this morning to a total pumping. We`ve got 20ish walks, and I think we shifted over 38.000 items. I was about to get sent out on a duty until the gaffer realised how much hassle running the callers office was going to be after Friday, so he finally sussed a sector reserve. At least there were no reggies to go out, except the ones the management screwed yesterday. :funneh

i cut off today left a row and a half plus my summer lapsing, (the manager did my cut off) when i got back while i was in the office letting them know what i left they wanted a word with me, there was 3 of them in there, usually i would of walked out but i was intrested in what they had to say, basically they said cause i finished half a hour on monday and tuesday i should of stayed out there a bit longer, this didnt go down well with me, then my manager said he would expect me and everyone to give a 100% (this is coming form the laziest person i know). I then walked out. If i go over me time tomorrow i am bringing it back again and again.

Unlike most of my office, I dont want to come in a hour before my starting time and i dont want to use my car, i dont want to rush around to finish of my summer lapsing. Just so they can get a bigger bonus next term.

REFUSED TO WORK BEYOND CONTRACT HOURS

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

Very Very lumpy today - IPS was 3/4 hour more than usual. DOM insisted it had to go I insisted that I did not want to work over. Left a row in. Problem is 1 of the lads said to the stand in lineo "there's too much on everyone cut off" so he is going to be counselled because he "attempted" to instigate unofficial industrial action according to them. Made sure that I finished exactly on time including meal break and 15 minute travelling time.
