Re: D2D PREP TIME
handed the printout to my dom this morning. his face was a picture, "where did you get this from" he then went away reading it only to return 5 mins later laughing saying "look at the date, things have changed since then it's all about flexability these days" and some other bull. one of the names on the printout is at the moment helping me with a letter of greivance against said dom so a quick phone call to confirm and bingo the doms boss will be informed as well

Re: D2D PREP TIME
Just say to him,the P&M agreement was signed in 2007,we are in 2009 and nearly 2010,so i guess that agreement is out of date as well, all flexing and lapsing is now cancelled!bandit1157 wrote:handed the printout to my dom this morning. his face was a picture, "where did you get this from" he then went away reading it only to return 5 mins later laughing saying "look at the date, things have changed since then it's all about flexability these days" and some other bull. one of the names on the printout is at the moment helping me with a letter of greivance against said dom so a quick phone call to confirm and bingo the doms boss will be informed as well
Rule of thumb to all dumb arse managers, the last agreement is the latest agreement regardless of the date!!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: D2D PREP TIME
There has been no revision to or repeal of this agreement since the date it was signed by both parties. It is therefore the current agreement and he is a twat.
btw the laws against murder in this country date back to 1861. Doen't make them any less valid today!!!
Well done matey

Re: D2D PREP TIME
Personally i take mine home on a saturday and fold them all at the kitchen table ( daughter likes to help ) then i put them into small bundles and just place a small d2d bundle behind normal mail bundle ( 1 d2d from the back then normal mail from the front easy
) i use to to put them in the frame with the mail but found it was to much faffing about, so i now find it easier to do it that way.
As for 20% a day sometimes i do sometimes i deliver them all in 1 go, just depends on how i feel, mail volume, weather ect.....the dom dosn't care how they get delivered as long as they all done .

I thought taking d2d home was a no no
. It's treated like normal mail so beware you could get in trouble.

Re: D2D PREP TIME
how can it be classed as normal mail ???? its addressed to nobody ???? therefore i am taking nobodys mail home !!! if this is the case then it looks like half our DO are in big trouble
. like i said as long as the d2d is delivered our DOM'S are happy with it.
Plus i would rather sit in the comfort of my own home and do than in the DO. I LIKE D2D, EASY MONEY ii would do more if the limit wasn't 3

This activity is the reason Royal Mail is cutting jobs and working conditions.chumley.mouse wrote:How am i taking the p~ss ??? it was a true statement !!!!!! the way i see it if you have got to go to every door you might as well make it worth your while and take as many as you can , your going there anyway !!!!! last time the elections were on i think i made about £140 (over 2 week) extra , easy money in my book............i dont know about you but if im going to work i might as well make as much money out of it as possible ( plus i have to pay for the speed to keep me going)
The more people do for RM in their own time the more cuts and job losses RM will make. FACT.
Prep 20% your D2D's in RMs time and claim OT for the hassle if you cant get out in time. As you say " i might as well make as much money out of it as possible "

Re: D2D PREP TIME
the dim was back in work today so i asked him about prepping d2d in works time. he needs a revolving christmas tree inserting in him. what a load of bull he gave me, he wouldn't say i had to do them in my own time but didn't exactly say i could do them in works time. he did say that next week i would be bagging my own walk for 30 mins and then delivering it, they are 4 hour walks. total 4hr 30 mins which is the exact amount of time i work each day after my break. i hope he doesn't think i will be running around on delivery to make time to prep my d2d because he will be very disappointed. i will do as i did today and always do, phone to say i am cutting off and if he can't get anyone else to deliver it he will have to do it himself.
