you are not a very good liar.

My wife has said one day a week is fine, but she doesn't know it means losing all the extra bits I do, but if it goes to more than one day a week she has told me straight, we have bills to pay, and once it affects that, SHE will expect me to go into work, picket line or no picket line, Unlike the Union Reps I wont get a days pay when I'm on strike.

Rep don't get paid whilst we're on strike and TBH if RM win this dispute then losing a couple of weeks pay will seem like small change.

Yeah tell her to get off her arse and get a job. If she has a job tell her to do more hours. Or tell her to go to the local docs and see what she can get. :chuckle

Reps dont get a days pay if we go out whos told you this BULL SH*T. If mine said this to me i would tell her to F**K OFF ASWELL
So you reckon you would tell your wife to F**K OFF, you are an even bigger liar, or you love cooking, Ironing, washing, cleaning oh and you must be a monk as well because you are celibate, either that or single, which with that attitude to women isn't surprising.

I have bills to pay, and yes it will hurt me to go out even for one day a week, after only 14 weeks in a job after three months on the dole, my bank balance is in the negative at the end of every month.
Some of you people want to wake up, this job, despite all the cons, but with the pro's, is much better than £65 a week on the dole, and don't say that is where we are all heading because it's not.

My wife does work thank you very much, she actually works more hours than I do, but we have two teenagers to feed, ouur food bill is £90 a week, plus essentials like bread and milk during the week, neither of us smoke or drink, we havn't been out for a meal together in years.

Next time you go out on your walk, divert out to the country, then come on here and tell me how many horses you see in the fields pulling ploughs ?.

we all have bills mate. Our area is untouched by the present walkouts as Rm have tried nothing yet.Two friends of mine work In a south london DO and they have lost two weeks pay in walkouts. One of them has just had his first child and admits its hard but his wife is fully behind him and knows what he is fighting for.I have 2 kids a mortgage etc.etc. In 30 years I have never gone to work when we are on strike. But you do whay your conscience tells you.If you can live with it then fine.

Where did I say it was jeopardy, by f**k you read a lot into a post.

And FYI information I'm allowed to express my views as much as you are, and I do not need advice from a barrack room lawyer on how to deal with my marriage.

Further more I tend to agree with her, some of you lot need to wake up to reality, I've been doing schedules collecting from firms, a service RM charge £500 a year for, all that is in jeopardy if prolonged strikes go ahead, less SA's less work, less workers needed.

And you will be the 1st one out pal if RM get their way.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

How do you reach that conclusion, I'm already PT, they want to reduce everyone to PT, why would they kick out someone who has agreed to work PT hours ?

PEGMAN my situation is the same as yours. Two teenagers to feed, spend roughly the same on food, don't smoke, don't drink and never go out either. But don't kid yourself about losing your job. What do you think will happen if there is compulsery redundancies. Last in first out usualy.

Been there, done that, back on the dole and work like f**k to find to another job, every company is the same, all that matters is the bottom line it doesn't matter if it is a private or public company.

Anyone who thinks that stiking will improve things is in cuckoo land, the changes will happen, moderisation will happen, even if the government have to change laws to allow it to, it will happen, all strikes do is slow the process up for short time.

Take note of last post I cannot believe that there are posties out there not listening, just in case you missed it SAs are going to be a thing of the past just like Sunday collections etc.
They are changing our working day so that collections etc. are done within your days work. They are using bullying tactics to do away with overtime, hence the lapsing!! That is some of the reasons for our unrest please, please stop listening to the lies being told by management and just open your eyes, maybe it is not in your unit YET!!

Simple redundancies and VR packages are all based on YOUR AVERAGE wage - now who is the cheapest to get rid off 40 hour or 30 hour and less hours staff. :hmmmm

Royal Mail also do "Buy Down of Hours" which at the moment is voluntary - Hmmm wonder if they will offer loads out soon as its a far cheaper way of reducing hours in an office than laying off a 40 hour postie.

A few things to think about there.
