National postal strike in France today (Tuesday)

There's a national postal strike (Tues 22nd) in France today against privatisation and job cuts with demonstrations in major towns. The Paris Region (185 offices) started an indefinite strike on Monday (21 Sept) against 3,500 job cuts imposed in last 6 months. Thought the RMC brothers and sisters would want to know about this since we're all in the same boat! Wouldn't be too surprised if Hayes and Ward went there for a day out (oops I mean to show "solidarity") even if they didn't bother to tell anyone in Britain about it.
PS to moderator: Not sure why this was placed in the category "Competition" on this site. Did I make a mistake with my posting? Thought I put it in "news"? Our fellow workers aren't cometition, surely!!! Anyway here goes another try...

It was put in the News - Competitors section as the News Section is really for Royal Mail/CWU and UK items that don't fit into any other category. Also Postman prefers only that linked News Articles go into the "News" section - Perhaps Union Section would have been a better place to put this item in
