Busy day again. Made worse by a bit of lapsing. Before we were fixed up the DOM held an inpromptue team brief about the national stirke ballot giving us 101 reasons why we should vote no. He got slaughtered.

We had a manager read the same thing out, and someone shouted 'why don't you read out the letter you got from your Union' - which apparently agrees with the CWU. He declined to answerheapsy wrote:Busy day again. Made worse by a bit of lapsing. A very busy day today. More than double my usual amount of flats and about half as many letters as I usually get. Thank god for falling mail volumes.
Strangely, the Dom was in good spirits after yesterdays mauling from myself and the gang.

Saturday, not bad for packets but otherwise heavy. Strangely the Dom asked for volunteers to go to the mail centre on Sunday, even though the mail volumes are falling.

Busy again today with plenty of National Trust mags and other heavy stuff. Again not many packets.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
It has been an interesting week just gone. For the first time ever I was under my hours everyday so by finish Friday was just over 2 hours owed. Had nothing to lose on sat so came in early preped my duty got out earlier than I would normally, finished early but ended up bang on my contracted hours for week. My DOM must be have been well pissed as I think he was expecting me to show well under for whole week so a trip to the office would have been arranged.
Royal Mail won't break me, though its been fairly close recently!
