it was apparently a shambles in the mail centre and it was acting mail centre manager that held a meeting with the staff while the union reps just stood by and side stepped any questions saying "its up to u"

Been told that early shift rep got taken into room on saturday morning and was sat down with two shift managers and regional manager then another shift manager appeared...so there was one rep and four managers, this from a company that claims they don't bully people...rep stood his ground anyway..just as well the mail centre manager wasn't there but then again no one would have been able to make out what he was saying anyway

Just got home from the picketline and it was a good turn out.
Some trailers taken in by a certain haulage company who did work during the miners strike in 84.
Remember to tune into Clyde for time and venue of meeting.

During any strike, you would have been scheduled to be working anyway, so the "oh but i need to go home cos ..." story won't wash, just because the weathers turned nasty.

Use yer stormproofs and stock up on the pallets :cool
You're right about needing a good turnout. But remember: There's a limit to how many people you can havge on the Picket Lines at a time. Doesn't it make sense to rotate the people there?
Although to be honest. It's often hard to get a some people to turn up at all! :arrrghhh

The most common excuse at my place being: "I'm not driving 50 miles to stand on a Picket Line." :mad :arrrghhh :no no
