glasgow walked sat morning because of statement read to them cutting breaks by 20mins and allocating leave in lieu according to opperational requirements also union was basically kicked out for period of 28days all facilites removed

now i hear that a manager has said " we will starve your members out of their houses"
meeting tomorrow but as of now we are still out

if they threaten to sack us i hope the rest of country come to our aid

THOSE MANAGERS IN GLASGOW ,IF THIS WAS NOVEMBER THE 20TH,WOULD BE AS NICE AS CAN BE,THEY ARE SCARED WITLESS THAT A MASSIVE YES VOTE FOR INDUSTRIAL ACTION,WILL BE SEEN AS A VICTORY FOR THE CWU,AGAINST AN EMPLOYER WHO HAS SET OUT TO DESTROY THE CWU BY MEANS OF CORPORATE BULLYING,WE MUST REMEMBER ....OUR EMPLOYER IS THIS GOVERNMENT,THEY HAVE ,BY THERE INACTION SANCTIONED RM MANAGERS ATTEMPT TO DESTROY OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS,IN THE HOPE THAT THE MEMBERS WHEN DRIVEN OUT ON UNOFFICIAL ACTION,WILL BE STARVED BACK TOO WORK,IF THEY ACHIEVE THIS WE ARE DOOMED.TIME TO BOX CLEVER,STAY COOL,XMAS IS COMING

Judging by the "Picket line" after the early shift "handover" yesterday, we better get support gathered and turn out in force for any action rather than treating it as a holiday as TheHappyOnes said.

During any strike, you would have been scheduled to be working anyway, so the "oh but i need to go home cos ..." story won't wash, just because the weathers turned nasty.

Have spoken to people from night shift who couldn't believe that they had accepted what was thrown at them

but i think it was they were told to keep their heads down to allow the union time to negotiate as they were the 1st shift back
i do now they didnt get statement till after they had signed on instead of the early shift that got it before they signed on

OK cheers P.P also if anyone can answer ,were the union reps in the building,i know 2 reps from backshift went in with 5oclock starts and stayed on ,dont know to what time
