Re: When can i be full time?
RM will NOT make any part timer up to full time while they are agreeing to do overtime, there is no need to do it from RM point of view! - Stop the overtime and increase your contractual hours
CUT OFF!!!

If the follow agreements it should be displayed on Notice Boards. I think the Way Forward agreements shows the format and rules governing this.

Re: When can i be full time?
So it does and there are a number of reasons for having a repick, vancancies, changes in duties, changes in duty times - we've had all three and still no sign of a repick because the union drag their feet in this area on all manner of things, including getting the paperwork to London in time for the ballot - we have 30 vacant duties in this office, which is about a third +/- of the office duties and still there is no pressure from the union to hold a repick - too much dead wood at shop floor level I'm afraid.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:paradiseshake wrote:Ok i get the picture RM are tight and im there overtime bitch (can u work ur day off son? - every f***ing week).![]()

Re: When can i be full time?
How about never,RM's way of thinking is that we cost to much so get rid of,they are trying thier hardest down our way by employing Part time staff, then thier idea is to take Full time of thier duty's and place the new P/T staff in on thier deliverys, the staff who have lost thier duty will then become reserves and have to do anything thats going including being sent to other offices and guess what if you dont like it then you know where the door is!this is no mucking about they are causing so many problems they are hoping your get fed up and go before they make you redundunt.

Part of the negotiations going on now is we want a FT to PT ratio, but don't hold your breath.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
