Re: GMC WALKOUT...AGAIN
GMC OFFICIAL STRIKES TO GO AHEAD AS ON MON 21ST AND FRI 25TH SEPT 2009. meeting for cwu and workers at tesco carpark mon 21st at 2.30 pm.
workers are losing grace relief times, being intimidated and basically being forced into wildcat. gmc manager (name removed as per rules teebs) said today that we could stay out and starve. hes the instigator in all this.

Re: GMC WALKOUT...AGAIN
wee update lads and lasses, a few lads (dont need to name, they know how they are) stood at the gates tonight from 8.30 and stopped the members who had been booked to do overtime tonight from going in, as the members didnt know that the early shift had walked out this morning.
only four managers went in , one member of staff went in but came back out an hour later i take it the said member of staff was sent home as he didnt speak to any of the lads at the gate !!!!!
Strength through Unity !!

Re: GMC WALKOUT...AGAIN
Cheers 'castle', can you confirm that we'll still be wildcat til Monday? are the official strike dates still valid? and is the meeting on Monday still at the car park? as the one on Friday was a shambles, thought they could have got a venue by this time so everyone could hear what the F##K was going on.

Re: GMC WALKOUT...AGAIN
nice tactic from glasgow managers, force an unofficial strike, starve em back to work just in time for the xmas rush, interesting to note that we are in the middle of a national ballot,if as many have indicated ,the whole country goes unofficial, where is the legal advice on a ballot, that cant happen if the ballot returns cant be delivered due to all out action, chaos management decisions are understandably the reasons why glasgow and district amal members ,through bullying and intimidation, rightly feel they have to stand up against these bullys,i for one support and applaud the members for there stance.we all must concentrate and focus on the most important issue, SENIOR MANAGERS OF ROYAL MAIL ARE FRIGHTENED,INDEED PETRAFIED OF A YES VOTE FOR NATIONAL INDUSTRIAL ACTION,AND WILL TRY ANYTHING TO AVOID THIS OUTCOME,all to often we allow them to dictate events,A CWU INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS BALLOT IS FOR US TO DECIDE ON AND IS IN FACT A REFERENDUM ON RM MANAGEMENT,A MASSIVE YES VOTE WILL FATALLY DAMAGE NOT ONLY THEM BUT ALSO BROWN/MANDELSON,the result will be announced publicly ,it will make front page news, voting yes by a huge margin will send a message loud and clear to managers/govt,and will not go unnoticed by the great british public,FACED WITH A MASSIVE YES VOTE,WHERE THEN FOR MANDELSON/BROWN HIGSON ETC?
HISTORY DICTATES , A GOOD GENERAL KNOWS WHEN TO PICK A FIGHT,WE MUST NOT BE TRAPPED INTO A FIGHT UNTIL WE DICTATE AND DECIDE WHEN AND WHERE,and not when chaos managers fuelled by a desire to avoid a referendum on there inability to do the job that they are employed to do.

quick question, what exactly is a 20 minute grace break? Is it in addition to your meal relief?

We were there yesterday before the midday shift started and someone and his fat friend came out, then he had the audacity to say
No-one was antagnoising anyone, as a well know driver told him. It was a friendly picket as per usual."Is there anyone feeling antagnosied, or beeing antagonised about going to work"
I guess he was reading the "managers guide to treating staff" before he came out, because antagonise was his word of the day.
Him and his fat bouncer stayed out thinking we were all gonna say "Aye boss, we'll come in cos we want to sign up for your 19th century tactics and archaic work ethics"
The rain then came on, and he went in, before his tan dissolved quicker

Re: GMC WALKOUT...AGAIN
As far as we were told yesterday, stay tuned to Radio Clyde, or text workmates to see if they have any more information.
The RUMOUR was that theres a meeting tomorrow at the Concert Hall, i stress the word RUMOUR, at that will more than likely confirm the strike times and days.
