GMC WALKOUT...AGAIN
GMC went back to work at 17:00 last night but guess what theyve just walked again . Early shift walked this morning after failing to accept the removal of their 20 minute break and the suspension of 2 drivers for failing to cross a picket line at Baird Street . . apparently .

Re: GMC WALKOUT...AGAIN
Manchester driver turned up at Glasgow on Thursday night and refused to cross picketline.
Manager(I use that term loosely)came out and took van in then brought it back out later.
Practically every other van turned around.
Same manager came out and did his car park attendant checking how cars were parked in the street.
Guess what happened next........the cops turned up!

A couple in our ranks were starting to feel the cold . . . theyre not as young as they used to be . . and took it upon themselves to build a wee camp fire.
Who do you think turned up next ?
Not one but two big red fire engines and a dozen firefighters . . .accompanied by another 2 cops .
I can only say that the fire chief was none too amused . . . havig to send 2 of his units to extinguish our inferno . . . so much so that he promptly stood his crews down bid us goodnight and left to heated applause . . .did i mention he left our fire burning after passing on some fire safety advice and receiving assurances from the guys on the front line .
We would also like to pass on our thanks to the guys from the company across the road who provided us with a continuous supply of pallets throughout the night .

That's probably the best insentive NOT to go back to work.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Again....I totally agree with you 'johnston65'..!!
Bring these bastards to their knees without warning..!!...dont give em dates of action , for them to prepare for...!! National ballot should've been here about 9-12mths ago , but while every office has been getting s**t on , HQ has been hiding/dragging their heels..!! Enough of the 'nicey nicey' approach....It's time to walk...!!!
