National day of strike action
Plans are underway to organise a national day of action on 29th Sept the same day as the CWUs Royal Mail motion is due to be expected to be heard at the Labour party conference.
All offices and Branch"s with live indusutrial action ballots will be asked to support strike action on this day. If all Branch"s support this call London , plymouth covertry and others have already said yes then we will have over 40 000 postal workers on strike the biggest of the current dispute. It will also be the intention to get big numbers down to Brighton to demostrate at the Labour Party conference.
Now is not the time to wait for the national ballot, now is not the time to blink. Royal Mail are under pressure due the strikes , the blacklog, the failed revisions and the media. We must keep the pressure up and not allow them off the hook.
Support the national day of action on 29th Sept.

Brilliant! And a chance to voice our opinions at our 'lords and masters' in Brighton. Count me in!
And even when they became discontented, their discontent led nowhere, because, being without general ideas, they could only focus it on petty specific grievances. The larger evils invariably escaped their notice.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: National day of strike action
I know the spirit this is meant in and it should be treated as tongue in cheek but...given the current climate and the fact that there will be media eyes all over this site, perhaps it's a little unwise to give the impression that any chance of industrial action is being taken lightly and as a good excuse for a jolly boys outing to the coast.johnnyp wrote:Lets all ave a Beano![]()

There is a protest on the Sunday which the CWU are supporting.

As it's a Sunday your concerns would not come into play.
