I would like to make a statement

to clear more than half the postmen in my delivery office Prestwick KA9, I have just found out my office Prestwick along with other offices in Ayrshire have been branded as Scab offices due to postmen sorting black mail from the Glasgow MC (Springburn) right after their strike, the postmen involved was warned by 6 of us not to do it as it was black mail, the Postmen involved failed to head our warnings not to do it and gave the excuse that other offices were sorting ovo/ivo, two of them even came in their day off to sort it..

I can fully understand the Anger of our colleagues in Springburn, Ayr, Kilmarnock, Irvine, Cumnock and Kilwinning because the people that warned them not to do it are even angrier trust me on that, if you are going call people from my office strike breakers then please call the real turncoats thescabs because nothing short of violence would have stopped them, these are the the exact same people who come into our office 30 - 45 minutes early before their time to sort their mail in: 5 definite postmen involved and maybe 1 other


the rest of our office wanted nothing to do with it except for the six i mentioned above that told them not to do it .... words cannot fully express my anger

Try to keep your temper, management will class any action against 'scab workers' as bullying and harrassment and they will sack you for it, best thing to do is just ignore them (if they ask a question then answer that question but only that question) otherwise they've made their own bed and now must lie in it.

KICK THEM OUT THE UNION One day my friend these individuals will want the support of the union even it may be for the trivialist thing . My advice i would give to you is inform them that you will not deal with them and give them the phone number of the area rep for them to contact and let them sort out what ever problem they have.

At a time like this its just a shame that these individuals only thought about lining there own pockets and couldnt see the bigger picture YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW. Are these individuals being black balled by the rest of the office ,my advice to all your members of staff would be to say nothink to them about this, as they will have a B/H case against you quick sharp .Dont bully them or harass them let them live in silence and take the consequences of there actions. How selfish are certain people that work for this company and whats the score with coming in early to prep ? why ? is the rep not stopping this as he has the power to and so do the rest of you. Do they not understand the attack we are under by R/M . And we wonder why R/M are stripping our working conditions and we are losing jobs all over the show. Have you lost only duties in your office i would be very surprised if you havnt with the actions that are going on in there. Get your area rep in to sort your office out as it sounds like its a mercenary office just a pity for the rest of you really .Im absolutely flabbergasted and to be honest disgusted. simply you cannot tell them, they turn round and tell you to mind your own buisness and they have never listened to any other Rep ... that is why they do not last long in our office .... they end up putting the rest of our office under pressure by coming in early, sometimes i do come in a wee bit early because i feel under pressure ... because the manager looks and sees guys out 20 - 30 minutes before the rest of us ... when it was brought up in meetings before WTL was ditched in my office it would cause a big scene
