It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Well aren't you the lucky one? I asked Div if any plans were afoot for a gate meeting, the reply was Branch should be organising something, and I feel sure they won't be organising anything - sand and ostrich springs to mind.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:I'll have to DVD it as just about to leave for a Yes Vote gathering
As for Daves appearance on TV, lets just hope it is someone who knows how to use a TV camera - they actually have the gall to call themselves "Flawless Media" the people who produced that DVD for distribution to the membership. I will be watching Dave tonight - lets hope Billy the Clown doesn't make an appearance in the background - he was calling it "a referendum" not a strike vote. We should be making it clear to all and sundry we are voting to strike and it will disrupt mail services not only for Royal Mail BUT ALL THE OTHER COMPANIES WHO RIDE ON OUR BACKS FOR DELIVERIES.

That was all about 20 seconds worth and only interview was a bloke waiting on some cheques.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
Illegitimi non carborundum

Royal Mail strike coverage 14 seconds, the problems in Sri Lanka 14 minutes - yep you've got to put things in perspective, Oh yeh Dave Wards contribution 0 seconds. I won't be waiting for the BBCs News 24 at 8, there's some paint I need to watch dry.

Saw/taped Newsnight. Who was the idealistic idiot at College? When he leaves for the Real World, he'll see that his quals won't get him anything unless he has the experience too. I recall a young lady applying for the London Police with a "Degree" confident she'd get in. Yeah, right...her degree was in Zoology!
If a tiger every escaped into Liverpool Street station, I'd be right behind her - literally!!!
Didn't really give anyone much time to discuss their points effectively. Studio attendees got better deal tho.
I'm sure Michael Jackson/Jade Goody news would have been given much more time/effort by the BBC.
Poor journalistic skills all round...again!
