A question on D2D

Post by Phantom »

If a member of staff was on holiday for 2 weeks and returns to find 2 weeks worth of D2D undelivered, who would you report this to outside of RM? Would it be the customer of the D2D items? Are RM being paid for the delivery of these items but then not carrying out the contractual agreement of actually delivering them? i take it this would be fraud?

don't you get 20% extra if they arrive on tuesday or after delivery on Monday - ours turned up on Wednesday after BH and I refused and returned them.

My thought on this is that if you come back from holiday and theres 4 sets DONT DO THEM GIVE THEM BACK. They should have been done whilst your were on A/L not your problem ,but guessing what your DIM DOM Will say is ok regardless of whether they are time sensesitive take one a week if you only have 2 ,so your making it up to 3 sets. The national agreement on d2ds is no more than 3 sets . Any way couldnt this be classed as fraud as the payment docket you will be signing will have the date on and you will be claiming them for that date when you werent even in work. Just give them back and tell them to stuff them were the sun dont shine. Have a word with your rep take no B/S..

VOTE YES
Dude this isn't answering the question, good reply though. I know the rules of D2D so that isn't the problem, the problem is them being left and RM still getting paid for them, would this be classed as fraud? would the manager be liable for not getting them delivered in the specific time? and who would you report this to outside of RM?

Phantom,i'm not 100% but if the D2D's are not claimed for then i don't think RM claim for them from the customer.

Why would you want to report this to someone outside RM?

If you were on leave, then you've done nothing wrong. If someone has claimed for delivering the items, then they have committed fraud.

This should have been noticed by the manager who should be doing the following -

1. Door 2 Door should be monitored daily to ensure 20% being delivered.
2. All frames should be checked when staff have gone out to confirm they are all clear.

So what was your answer? Would you let them run?

My D2Ds sit in boxes under my frame until I make them up for delivery that particular day and the D2D control sheet doesn't arrive until Saturday morning.

PS. The TR duties don't do them so ours works out at 25% per day and that doesn't include if you have to take another day off during the week.

Unless i read that wrong, seems to me phantom is not happy with RM/management leaving them and not doing what managers should and that's to keep an eye on the situation.

This would not happen.

There should be procedures in place. There has been a big push on the quality of service of door to door recently.

Door 2 Door items put out on the Saturday with the control sheets.

Control sheet signed daily to confirm delivery of 20%.

On the Friday, excess items counted by delivery postman and control sheet handed in to PHG or manager (whoever deals with it )

Control sheets that are not handed in are chased by manager.

All door 2 door items are accounted for.

Which is why he wants to report it,too much dodgy stuff going on by (some) management to cover their arses.
