One worker boasted on the chat website how he wasted time by filling in "739" forms – which tell a resident who is not at home that they have a parcel to collect – while still at the sorting office, rather than on the doorstep once once he had checked whether the recipient was at home.
I'm almost sure this is the correct procedure maybe there's a new instruction that we've just to doorstep everything
I think Omar would be conducted & suspended now , that is a old video ! , does anyone know what office he passed in the video ? . I presume that video was made in London .
Joking apart that was naughty , in 2007 it was Hellmail & The Dark Side , probably Mark White ? , I don't want to go too much into Conspiracy theories but there's been some dark arts . Let's just say some relationships with RM are a bit cosy and this site must be a complete pain in the arse for them .

the point is, the journalist never intended to give a balanced view , no mention of the many posties who come in early ,work their meal reliefs and use their own cars etc, no mention of the many posties that are only too willing to help their line managers out by covering parts of other collections /deliveries etc. no understanding of the deals that can be offered to the posties by your manager. all this and more can be read on here but i dont see any of that in certain newspapers .
"why should it just be the bankers, politicians and the idle rich who get all the best things ? we demand a standard of living for our members that enables them to share in the fine wines and times that the likes of Cameron and his Eton buddies take for granted " - the late great Bob Crow RIP.
If there are any 'spanish practices' within any office it is usually because the management have waived them because their ideas are not working. If RM ideas were working properly posties would not have to work through their breaks and come in early. How many times have RM changed a postie's duty and when things goes tits-up and I mean really tits-up they are asking posties can they work through their breaks, can they come early and so on.
Too true Borders but the press is the press, not some neutral entity. However you look at it, its a piece of cake to pick out the nuggets from here and even if not balanced, they could be claimed as accurate if said, in whatever context. I'm not sure it is even reasonable to expect balanced reporting when folks post is held up. The more the hold ups, the more negative the kick back will be. Part of the game.
Don't believe everything you're told in the rest room

Would you claim your post's are accurate
Bravery isn’t not being afraid. Bravery is being afraid but doing it anyway
I'd like to see the lazy so & so who wrote this do a days work at a DO, wouldn't last five minutes!
I thought the Telegraph was better than some of the other papers and reported fact, obviously not!
AND cutting off is when you can't complete because you have worked your 8 hours, WTF?!

Who said this,if anything IT SAVES TIME!!
I actually quoted this in a post I wrote about people deliberately wasting time. I can't remember who originally posted it, but he said he wrote 739's out as 'it wasted more sorting time', whilst boasting about cutting off.
It only saves time if nobody is home, that's irrelevant though as what the paper quoted is correct. Most posties do the job properly, but there are quite a few on here that revel in the fact they're not completing and it's hardly good publicity.
I've looked through your posts and i cant find it,can you have a look then.
The nearest thing i can find is in the link below but there is nothing untoward in that thread, only useful info.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
f**k the press,we're not going to win them over regardless of what we post, they will print what they want, scum the lot of them.
There's another quote for them.
