Whoever says that the postal strikes are going "unnoticed", is completely stupid.

if it's so unnoticed why is it all over the london new's and in the papaer's. fact is it's now starting to become a worry for a lot of london business. the backlog in our office is now about 3 day's behind and growing.

Agree... You only have to switch on the news or open any newspaper to see they are being noticed. Anyone who says otherwise quite frankly should get their head out their arse!DirtyHarry wrote:Whoever says that the postal strikes are going "unnoticed", is completely stupid.

I don't think he had anything to do with Rover but he f*** up the English FA, which I'm really in two minds aboutMrs Average told me she blames Crozier "That twat f****d Rover, now he intends to f**k up Royal Mail"
And Leighton f***ed up Leeds Utd

Re: Your Strike Is Going Unnoticed
I don't think Mr Average cares much, however Mr Business does. Most business rely on post for cheques and invoices etc. because all accountings must be kept in paper form (usually). Sad though it is the only complaints that really count are not from Joe Public but from businesses which are the hardest hit.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to hurt businesses but in the long run I believe that industrial action will get them a better service and give me a better job.

Certain small business startups rely on the post.
Now that counters your opening argument.
Of course they could pay more and use couriers etc but cost wise it hurts.

I think the blame can be laid at the EU's door.Pegman wrote:
Mr Average has also told me it's the governments fault RM is in the state it's in, splitting it up, and dissecting it like a frog.
They just let the CWU and Royal Mail tear each other apart ,let the public loose confidence in us and ba-boom a fragmented service results ,just what the anti monopolies commission wants.

Re: Your Strike Is Going Unnoticed
Shame these strikes are always called near xmas time
, pity the 20 million items of backlog will take time to clear
, so the longer they leave it the worse it gets.
Found out that my area manager received a £9000 bonus
, what a kick in the balls that was, come on guys, stop helping RM and help yourselves

Re: Your Strike Is Going Unnoticed
Locker Dave seems to imply that letters contain nothing of any importance or value anymore as they have been replaced by email and texts. This is not the case and is a vital way to send communications. As for packets the system already cannot cope because of the increase in volume. What we've got now will seem small in a few years time with the growth in internet shopping. I see Royal Mail as an investment for myself, it could go either way depending on if they deal with the multitude of management problems. Win - I stay here and get a pension better than money purchase/dont have to change my job every year, Win - I get redundancy pay(4 months in Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam and 1 in Australia).
