Maybe we should show that Omar video just to show what we really get up to :nervous
One worker boasted on the chat website how he wasted time by filling in "739" forms – which tell a resident who is not at home that they have a parcel to collect – while still at the sorting office, rather than on the doorstep once once he had checked whether the recipient was at home.
I'm almost sure this is the correct procedure :hmmmm maybe there's a new instruction that we've just to doorstep everything :hmmmm

That is common practice in my office. It's not a boast, just common sense. If a dog for example is loose, you do not enter if you suspect there may be a risk, if a flight of stairs is unsafe, you do not go up them. This was a management instruction. Oh and I noticed, no mention of bullying and harassment!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The worst of the article is that it suggests 'cutting off' and 'pouching off' are UNacceptable practices, and how is the average Daily Telegraph reader to know otherwise ?

One worker describes a recent "phantom strike" at a south London office which was called off at short notice after a contingent of managers were drafted in to carry out the work.
By returning to work, the workers were able to receive pay for the day while maximising disruption for managers.
And?
I think he was referring to the thread strike wind up:

Frankly I'm a bit shocked that a Tory rag owned by two billionaire tax exiles should be quite so hostile to the struggle of common working folk :chuckle
A cracking example of the fat cats media machine distorting facts in order to demonise any group of workers with the cheek to fight for their terms.
Can't help but notice though that even the quality of the propaganda is slipping; not even a half hearted attempt at balanced reporting,a very clumsy piece littered with inaccuracies.
Oh well, if they all read it ,that will make 180,000 people from all sides of the fence spit out their tea and not trust another word printed by that rag ever again :chuckle

Whether accurate or not, expect the same across all the national press if the mail stops. The CWU have few friends amongst members and even less outside. Admire their confidence, pity no one is listening.
