I, like most posters just want the bullying to stop and for real negotiations to take place.

Its not about money, its the bullying , harassment, victimisation and s**t service you c***s are creating You have no management skills and tell the public so much bullshit im choking on it. The 1.5% ( £5.21) per week is a f***ing joke. Keep your blood money you c***s and pay yourselves more bonuses.

There's been talk inside RM and info sent out to managers from the top dogs that the bullying & harassment will have to stop.
whether the sector managers and floor managers will pay any heed to this is another matter, so lets just keep on dreaming,
and see what happens.

Don't belive that, It's the top dogs that are responsable not your local dom and lineos. I know a guy whose now retired ex dom on one occassion he gave his staff 3 days to deliver a baulk posting instead of the 1 day that RM demanded. After putting his failures in a quality decended on his office to 'check' the figures for the failures were acurate. If you refuse to bully you will be bullied!Geezer wrote:There's been talk inside RM and info sent out to managers from the top dogs that the bullying & harassment will have to stop.

RM can stick their pay rise I am voting yes when the ballot arrives. If we give in to them now our lives will never be the same again, let the battle begin.

This is weird...only yesterday our DOM told our rep that it was time his management started treating people in a more 'professional' manner. This comes a day after he was questioning peoples prep rates. I wonder if instruction has filtered down from the Almighty?Geezer wrote:There's been talk inside RM and info sent out to managers from the top dogs that the bullying & harassment will have to stop.

I always wondered if their conference calls end up with every one saying "All hail Crozier, our Lord and Master" - I am becoming surer and surer of its veracity every day I work in RM.

Well they're either slipping something into their copious cups of coffee or they have the managerial equivalent of the stepford wives.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:I always wondered if their conference calls end up with every one saying "All hail Crozier, our Lord and Master" - I am becoming surer and surer of its veracity every day I work in RM.

Re: Movement on a pay rise
Pay and paying for change is just one of several issues in disucssions. As is the shorter working week , the future of deliveries , future of network , future of mail centres, bullying and harrassment, the resolution to all the execuitve action.
The fact is tht Royal Mail are on record as saying they no longer pay for change and that is unacceptable. Why shouldt our members be rewarded for increased prouductivity ? Is that not how we have improved our conditions in the past. We will not save every job but why shouldt our members share in the savings of the business in some way which can then be consolidated into basic pay in the future. ?
But there is no resolution until all elements are covered to the unions satisfaction and our members satisifaction.
The truth is Royal mail have blinked for the first time in this dispute. They have backtracked on next weeks executive action in delivery offices for the first time. They are under pressure due to the backlog and the media. What I think all our National officers know that unless we get a long term slolution on deliveries including agreements on the span, geo route, indoor workload tool , door to door , automation , attendances , last letter spec, saturdays, car derived vans, rescoucing mix full time and part time and reward then we will still see unfair and unacceptable attacks on our delivery members.
Similarly we need agreements which deal with network 2009 and the duties and resigns which have been imposed in VOCs across the country. Mail centres there is an urgent neeed to understand Royal Mail"s clousure stategy and the mtsf issues as what they did to the Stoke members was unacceptable. Plus we need to stop the farce which is world calss mail which is
being deployed within mail centres.

Re: Movement on a pay rise
That's good to know. I wouldn't want too much emphasis to be put on the pay issue, until we've got the important issues sorted. Although, obviously it'd be nice to get a pay rise. It's just very low on my (and I suspect, many other's) list of priorities, considering what's at stake.dingo wrote:Pay and paying for change is just one of several issues in disucssions. I know that you can't go into detail, at this point. But is there any real progress on the other issues. Or are RM trying to "buy us off" with a pay rise?dingo wrote:The fact is tht Royal Mail are on record as saying they no longer pay for change and that is unacceptable. Re: Movement on a pay rise
I absolutely agree! firms are laying people off and the public will have no sympathy with any talk of of a payrise full stop!flaminmoses wrote:rather we got the main issues sorted first.
mentioning pay would be the equivelent of shooting ourselves in the foot.
the union should be paying for a two page spread in the national newspapers telling the story of collapsed rounds deliveries in private cars unpaid overtime etc.
to leave it up to the press to choose what to publish is killing us in the eyes of the public ie The Sunday Mail story link (other thread).
