ATOS MEETING

Meeting cancelled, as it was too far! Surprise, Surprise Cilla...So awaiting closer one, in my own country, but nuffin so far, after 2 mentions that Atos have been contacted. I rang Atos myself. 12yr old told me, only RM Manager could deal with this. ( He must have been on work placement, as he sounded 12!!!)
Hospital letter not much better - 20 weeks to see consultant. Must be taking slow boat from their Caribbean holiday home back.
So, it's in the lap of the RM Gods.

I had to go and see the ATOS doctor on Wednesday in my own time after I finished my duty, were'nt allowed to book for that. Anyway got in there and he went through my sick record, asked about my AOD and came to the conclusion that my specialist is wrong and I'm wasting my time going to physio. It was an amazing diagnosis as he did'nt even look at my leg and spent the whole appointment sat at the desk typing on his laptop . I can't wait to go to physio on Monday and tell them what he said I will probably have my Stage 3 next week so will let you know whats happening. I've taken a photo of the driveway I slipped over on minus the snow/ice and I think I've got a pic somewhere of the temp in the van that morning I fell over -9c and will produce them at the Stage 3 and hopefully a letter off the specialist.

Are you allowed to record meeting, ie, on your phone? If so, then you'd have the idiots bang-to-rights!

As and when mine is rearranged - no news is good news - then I'll ensure "witness" is present.
Luckily Mrs in medically trained. ( I'll hire her out, for a fee...)

3 months up in 2 wks, don't wanna go back without some formal guidelines, otherwise we all know what I'll be asked/told to do.

To be fair to them, in my case the have been spot on and very helpful in getting me the treatment i needed.

Also they told me i cannot go back until some adequate rehab plan is sorted

Generally, I agree, they CAN offer support/advice, but expecting me to travel 80 miles - one way - for what could be a 10min talk?
Have since requested my manager to rearrange Atos meeting, twice. Nothing so far. Are they THAT busy? Just awaiting their call. Any day now.

Understand that totally thunder, just pointing out my side of the story 80 mile travel is totally unacceptable i must point out that ALL my discussions with them took place over the phone

Been told our Manager is off with Long Term Stress, Ass Mngr off this week on AL. Still no Atos appointment, so if I ring work to discuss it, no-one covering will have a clue who I am/what past history has occurred. So I'll wait til next Monday...
Was wondering whether my GP could call em? Atos have refused to discuss anything with me twice, and have said, get Manager to call them. I'VE TRIED TO !!!

You do realise that their rehab plans are about as much use as Jade Goodys gynecologist.
