I was commenting on you posting very old jokes. Presumably, as you're doing the "who, me?" bit, there was an inference there.

TBT, can't agree that reduced volume is irrelevant to delivery posties. Has a direct effect surely since RML can reorganise walks and even lose some posties altogether. As they say, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Absurd to even suggest there hasn't been a fall. Your summary was otherwise correct.

if you reduce the workforce to a greater extent than the decreasing volume/ workload , then somebody along the line is going to bear the burden, plainly it seems to be the delivery boys and i think this is the point they are putting across. lets call it quits , eh.

I understand your concerns about your Family and understand that it seems that strikes get us nowhere! But think about how much worse it will be without a Union, Without fighting against compulsory Job losses, changes to work shifts, EVRs...etc. IF YOU DONT VOTE FOR STRIKE ACTION THEN YOUR FAMILY WILL SUFFER! This is a battle for basic human rights. A battle that has a bitter Phil Mandelson behind it because he didnt get to privatise the Royal Mail due to the fact that we had a strong union who fought to keep our service PUBLIC. Dont belive the propaganda in the courier....Its all bollocks! Bosses are getting bonuses of 2grand to 9grand in order to keep them on side to reduce shift hours for staff and JOBS! We arent getting a Payrise again despite 300 mil profits! If we cant have one now WHEN WILL WE!.
