RM & CWU Talking

Post by Geezer »

Received this Email today.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Talks took place today and more are scheduled for this Wednesday and Thursday. Clearly it would seem some progress is being made, but how much we don't know.

I have contacted **** **** Div Rep who tells me he has been asking about an LTB , but nothing yet.

As soon as it comes out I will advise everyone as soon as.

In the meantime, it is imperative that the message gets out to all members that RM are talking. A yes vote is crucial.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

divisional reps are in London this afternoon , could it be that Royal Mail are panicking that the network will fall apart on wednesday and finally coming to a sensible agreement or is it just more stalling

Once again as you will see CWU HQ "will" sell out to some pathetic lip service from royal mail......as i mentioned in another thread isn`t it strange that the ballot was postponed for a week and then all of a sudden !! hey presto....RM & CWU are making some progress ...PAP !
I know the CWU said the ballot was postponed due to some units not getting there correct paperwork in, in time........does anyone have any evidence to back this up .....if so please post.

Can it be that the result of the ballot was postponed due to the fact that it would have came out just before the Labour Conference :whistle but now with the new timetable the conference will have been and gone...i think we should be told :silenced

WE need to press home the advantage NOW not give up to another CRAP wishy-washy agreement that's going to be read one way by the CWU and another way by RM.

RM are SH*TTING themself's now that local IA is having an effect and the backlog is building up ( why else would they be willing to talk before the result of a national ballot has been anounced )

They are looking to get a quick agreement with CWU leadership that will allow them to KEEP most of the UNAGREED CUTS / savings in the offices that have had Exec.Action imposed upon them.

We need a CLEAR, BACK & WHITE no grey area's agreement !

We NEED to see ALL Exec Action completely REMOVED FIRST ! before we back down

LETS NOT lose more HOURS / JOBS from in your DO / MC etc.

VOTE YES and if necessary STOP OUT until we get a FAIR settlement and if needed HOURS BACK IN !

VOYE YES and make a difference !
