This is your answer to so called mail decline!
80+ million items per day divided by several mail companies is a decline on RM mail centres ONLY
So where are, and who owns this supposed network of mail centres that take so much of "our" mail that RM can now close MCs country-wide and put three MC's mail into one? :hmmmm

Also, my point was always that mail processed in RM MCs has noticeably reduced, and the CWU seem to agree with that, so where's the argument?

No RM manager can stop you cutting off once you've worked your contracted hours. Ask your manager for a WRITTEN warning! if its verbal, stick your ipod on or something

Maybe ,since it does not appear in the figures, deliveries could just stream DSA permanently, and no one would be any the wiser, and most would be less burdened :Very Happy

IN DELIVERIES :arrrghhh
Deliveries ain't my world. Deliveries were never the point. Delivery people try to deny the decline in mail by saying the bags are just as heavy or heavier than they've ever been, but that [for those to whom logic is a foreign language] doesn't prove volumes haven't declined, as even dear old "borders" alludes to.
The CWU have now even said mail volumes have declined as quoted in this thread, but never mind, you DO people know better than the rest of RM staff, businesses, the unions and mail organisations world-wide what's really going on.

[These big letters are good, aren't they TBT? They really show you know what you're talking about.. :whistle ]

I've never said deliveries have never had it so easy. Not a job I want, but please spare me from the idea that it's somehow special or harder than many other jobs.
:Boo hoo!
Get real, you're a postie, for God's sake, not a pilot, surgeon, diver, copper, fireman, ambulance driver, teacher, soldier, etc etc etc..............

If anybody is remotely interested,or even slightly curious, then you may care to look up "psychopaths" ,specifically "malignant narcissists " .Now far be it from me to mention any names ,But if you can spot a fellow poster who seems to be devoid of empathy ,has a uniquely well developed sense of misplaced superiority,is incapable of admitting error and is a total stump to boot ,then I think your web search may prove rewarding.
PS Just for the newbies ,there seem to be loads :Very Happy

Good to see you're still hoping there's some mileage in that one Bell, but try and keep up, eh?
Reprising sections of long-dead threads is just so lame.....

let me think for a minute :hmmmm ...
"why should it just be the bankers, politicians and the idle rich who get all the best things ? we demand a standard of living for our members that enables them to share in the fine wines and times that the likes of Cameron and his Eton buddies take for granted " - the late great Bob Crow RIP.

As you put it. Not a job I want, wonder why, oh I forgot you would have to work for a living instead of sat on your backside in a MC with on the tap coffee & toilet facility,& as for the other jobs mentioned most are careers that pay brilliant wages, compared to our meagre wage which we work bloody hard for on delivery, & you can never compare any job to a SOLDIER especially on the front line they are just exceptional fullstop. :d'oh! :d'oh!
