It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Waiting to see if Jim Fitzpatrick is replaced as Minister for the Post Office. As it is a Junior Minister's post, undere the DTI Minister, it will probably be announced today - good timing!
Well it wasn't today, perhaps next week, or it may be put off while the current dispute is on as it may look as if Brown is not happy with Fitzpatrick's handling of the dispute if he gets rid of him.

It seems Jim Fitzpatrick has been moved to the Department of Transport as Parliamentary Secretary for Aviation and Shipping (£91,000 pa).
The Department of Business, Enterprise, and Regulations Reform (formerly the DTI) does not seem to have anyone solely responsible for the Post Office. It is not even mentioned on their website. It may come under Stephen Timms, the Minister of State for Competitiveness (£100,000 pa).
