if you have not been balloted it will have no effect on the results and you will be at work when everyone else will be on strike around you

No it does not make the result void as each office is balloted seperately and it is only the results in your own office that counts and determinds whether you can take action. However on the National ballot the result is determind by the whole of the union aggregating the votes across the UK.
