I posted the 'Dear Gordon Brown' topic some time ago...
Emailed to the PM's Office after it was suggested by a fellow RMC person.
STILL no reply.
If you have read my previous posts you will know that I have always been hopeful that someone from the Government would intervene and force A&A to settle this dispute (even at the 11th hour) to the satisfaction of the Union and all of the staff in Royal Mail involved in this dispute.
Looks unlikely now which I personally feel annoyingly frustrated and sad about.
HOWEVER I am preparing to stand with my fellow workers on the picket line and will be proud to do so.
Scary as I have never done it before but more than willing to lose pay and stand up for myself and ALL ROYAL MAIL EMPLOYEES.
I AM SO UNHAPPY THAT A RESOLUTION HAS NOT BEEN FOUND - MORE IMPORTANTLY I FEEL AGRIEVED THAT GORDON BROWN HAS NOT INTERVENED ALREADY.
There is still time - 10 Downing Street is effectively 24/7.
I am still hopeful. HOWEVER I will be up at 2am. Preparing.
Will be picking up a colleague and a fellow CWU Offical on the way to the line.
GOOD LUCK TO US ALL

DEAR GORDON BROWN PART 2
It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
