If only we could have spent ours on 'something totally useless' and never heard of it again. Giving it to our Line Manager would have been a great way to improve our workplace environment

Surely you've heard of your DOM, oh you didn't mean that useless.

The best one was the "morale boosting " draw, we'd a "colourful" ML4 who'd obviously watched too much TV conducting "a vulture's feeding frenzy", people booing about who'd won especially if it were AGs, Full -Timers booing PHGs , the "winner" of the car was a shifty manager's son , ticked all the boxes, non-union etc. The MCM was praised in a glossy propoganda pamphlet for all his efforts. That manager was pulled by the IB for his "coin collecting" from the CFC drum, "Royal Mail Manager escapes Prison for £42 " in the local rag.
Happy Days , couldn't happen to nicer people.!
Asked several times for Wireless Internet Access, excuse given- didn't want to upset Royal Mails PC provider- and didn't want to commit to contract incase the FLF budget was withdrawn -what does that tell you.
Ah, last years firstline fix went on:
The obligatory DAB radio system, 'better pens', a water bottle each, three pairs of hiking socks each and an 'anti fatigue' mat for each frame (these cost over 3 grand (£40 each) and are pointless! feel no different standing on a flat black mat than on the flat black floor.)
We have just been informed that flf has brought 8 unbrellas so that when smokers go outside for a fag they do not have to get wet, two have disappeared already, what happened to flf money being spent on the majority not the minority.

It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

THE UMBERELLAS CAN BE USED (OR ABUSED) BY ALL AT MDEC.
I HAVE SPOKEN TO DUNCAN (FACILTIES MGR) OVER THE LAST 6ISH WEEKS OVER THIS ISSUE.
IT DIDNT COST MUCH - MAX (AS FROM MEMORY) £30.
DUNCAN IS GREAT GUY - ANOTHER RM MANAGER BUT I HAVE A LOT OF RESPECT FOR HIM BIG TIME.
GOOD LUCK TO US ALL

Well, I have got to cocme up with an answer... ...
Ha! Got it...
The AIR RECYCLING SYSTEM at MDEC Plymouth is not very healthy. Poor quality as opposed to an AIR CONDITIONING system.
You might take a brolly, sit in rain to get fresh air! Hey howzat????!!!!
Also (wow 2 hours sleep now back from the early shift picket line - I am on a roll...) you may like CARS and MAYBE you could look at all the flash cars that the (incredibly hard working Managers) drive?
That any good mate?

Lights that strap to your head as the electricity supply is down right dangerous and fails when it rains as the roof leaks. Not our choice I might add.I would have thought a roof repair is more in need. The upstairs of the office is out of bounds as half the roof is in the rooms underneath and therefore off limits.Wheres health and saftey when you need them?
