POSTIES around Inverclyde will go on strike as a row with their Royal Mail employers intensifies.
More than 100 members of staff will stay away during the one-day stoppage on Saturday, which is part of the Communication Workers' Union's national battle over modernisation plans.
The union says management are imposing changes 'by diktat', threatening terms and conditions and making unfair demands on staff.
John Brown, Scottish regional secretary for the CWU, said: "Our members in Inverclyde have had enough. There will be between 100 to 150 of them out."
