To be honest after events in our office today i think most will vote NO the feeling is is that the union leadership has let us down badley, everyone was upbeat on monday thinking this was the last week of walk lapsing then on tuesday to be told you will continue to lapse, the staff are knackered and stressed, and the union just sit back and say nothing no advice all the staff get is it is part of the 2007 agrreement, why are our leaders leaving it to local reps to sort it out what we need is LEADERSHIP and what have we had from ours SILENCE.

It's postalworkers who are being attacked right now, it's postalworkers who on a daily basis face bullying & harrassment from managers intent on meeting unrealistic targets, and on a scale unseen before.

It's postalworkers who have to do whatever it takes to defend their hard-fought for terms & conditions from being completely destroyed by the moronic Royal Mail management intent on walking all over hard working posties, just so those moronic managers can get their fat chubby fingers on a nice fat juicy bonus earned through our back-breaking labours.

I'm sorry, but although it would be nice to think that a majority of the public were on our side, it isn't important.

What is important, is that we show willing in our efforts to feck Royal Mail's incompetent managers, and not for one instant, bend the knee to those idiots. :cfo :mfo :cfo :mfo

Every office has the people who cut deals with managers, but they soon realise they made a mistake when they told take it or leave it part-time job. Its on the way......BEWARE

Working for Royal Mail without the union just think what it would be like.All these managers treated you like you have some sort of disease, I would rather be skint & on the dole thanks. If the CWU ever go, I will be right behind them.

if its a no vote, the cwu, repicks, AND senoirity are all finished, we network drivers are royal mails vision of the future ie, names out of a hat for duties, no repicks and senority all gone. they are testing the water with us first, if its a no vote, we are ALL finished

Nationally we will get a yes vote, if RM are trying to implement executive action now in some delivery offices what do you think will happen if we got a no vote (posties will really get a arse kicking from RM) and they have not even started on the mail centres yet. I am not prepared to let this happen so I will be I voting yes. Remember RM are not telling us how many delivery offices, mail centres, etc are closing or merging you have to think why. All I can say is remember what happened to the miners they were left with few mines within the UK, well it our time now because of :cfo and :mfo

from the duties they signed for and put them on facing and sorting all day. The drivers have lost their
assistants, have had extra collections added to their duties, and have to go on the facing if they get
back before the end of their duty. Most SAs have been ceased and there is virtually no OT except a
little on Saturdays. Management are saying they are going to impose an unagreed revision and resign
of duties which will be allocated by management if staff refuse to sign for them - as they have done
in our EC Deliveries. They are saying that 250 duties will be lost and won't say how they intend to deal
with the surplus staff - we guess there will be compulsory transfers (but where to as all other offices
are also cutting staff?)or compulsory redundancies.
And we face losing one of the three MCs in London, though we don't as yet know which one it will be.
That's why we voted overwhelmingly for IA.

the majority of local individual office ballots are overwhelmingly yes!! so why the pessimism?

I don't know that it is pessimism but out of 1600 offices only 500 have opted for a ballot - and there will be 1100 offices who haven't requested a ballot who will be taking part in the National ballot.

You are going to get a lot of offices that wont be involved in ballots, but they are most likely to bein the rural areas with only a small amount of staff...its most likely that the 500 balloted will have a greater number of staff than the 1100 that havent requested local ballots

Absolutely - if this hasn't happened at your MC yet it soon will be. Don't think that if you vote No
they will leave you alone. MC management are just as keen to cut staff hourage and boost their
bonuses as DO management.
