unit reps have little input into the day of action...it is mostly down to area rep and it has been a bit shambolic but it doesnt help when managers are spreading lies and people are still actually believing them despite everything that has happened previously.

now that we have a yes vote,that doesn,t mean a day off or night off depending what shift you are,their should be rotas as to who and when you take your turn at the gates,so please lets see a bit of comradship and dont leave it to the same people to do the picketing.

Despite making some progress on managements duty changes the current ( deputy ) mail centre manager has decided to impose his duties on the 21/09/09. This despite the fact that other managers disagree with what he is doing. Bearing in mind this is the same ( deputy ) mail centre manager who issued a briefing to staff 2 weeks ago saying that he wanted to work with the union..this obviously means he will work with the union as long as they do what he says...how sad it is that people forget where they came from... once again management have shown their true colors despite the fact that when our jobs are cut and made part time they too become surplus to requirements..anyone with any intelligence would see this but then again it is RM management.
