Georoute - originally used to plot refuse collections. Kind of ironic?
Belgium wasn't it ? - based on full bin liners left on the pavements not wheely bins that have to be taken up to the wagon and emptied .

I worked for agency that always seemed to have work for binmen to work for a private firm even in a recession :hmmmm . Under competitive compulsory tendering , councils would outsource rubbish collection . Everything was timed to the last 5 minutes , it was deemed to be more efficient :hmmmm

You had to be very , very fit and had to work at a manic pace . For some reason all the permanent staff were ex convicts :hmmmm .

I then later saw my local council unionized binmen working , I couldn't believe that they were not running round like blue - arsed flies . There was horror stories about Liverpool bin men in their wagons waiting to clock off but the pendulum swung too far the other way :hmmmm .
