Can anyone tell me what weight a packet has to be before a town round can put it out for van to deliver and if so where can i find a writeen copy.

We were told if it won't go through a letter box then we can leave it. But even when you can see there is no way it will go through you still get it back.Muppets.

According to the info on the link, the max weight is 1.25 Kg. Checking RM prices, packets weighing over 1.25 Kg cost £4.30 to post, (standard parcels cost from £4.20 for up to 2Kg). Second Class packets have a maximum weight of 1Kg.
So as a quick reference, if you come across a small packet with a postage cost greater than £4.30 (check the weight first), it should be delivered by a driver.
Now we know that isn't going to happen, drivers are under as much pressure as walking posties, but instead of fighting with each other, try talking. Some people do not realise that carrying a small packet of say 2 Kg in you bag for three and a half hours can be very annoying, not to mention the fact that subsequent bags may well be over weight, due to this packet.

On the same theme, if second class packets/letters have a max weight of 1kg (as advertised in the Post Office Pricing Made Easy Guide), why are we accepting Saga Magazines/catalogues/other magazines, on the second class rate that weigh well over 1 Kg?
