Sounds about right. They can't have someone coming on here giving his honestly held views when they canhave some muppet reading from a carefuly prepared script at a WTL session.billypants wrote:oh dear has mpeard been gagged by his bosses. How unusual, RM not wanting it's managers to talk openly and honestly with us.

I'm a bit pissed of to be honest that he's gone.We want and need the Managers views on here.evilc wrote:That sounds about right,it is a shame cause as Managers go Mpeard is quite an amiable person.billypants wrote:oh dear has mpeard been gagged by his bosses. How unusual, RM not wanting it's managers to talk openly and honestly with us.

Yes sure we wont always agree with them but it would be nice to get the view from the other side.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Have you any idea how patronising that sounds?
If you think you know who I am then why on this Earth would you suggest I wear a bag over my head? Or indeed anyone else.
I don't think you are the 'type' of Manager to hang around for a while - you are too intelligent to NOT realise that you are valued and therefore have a good future at MDEC Plymouth. HOWEVER...
From your post I suggest it may be a good idea to think about how you are interacting with people. If it is relevent HERE then it must surely bleed over to your 9-5 (ish) activities.
PS: Did you have a fruitful and beneficial day for RM when you were "working from home" one day this week?
The CMA is an Association - the CWU is a Union - not really up for comparison.
Guys, I actually feel a bit guilty. I am sad that Mr Peard has left this forum.
I have known that he is a fair and good person all the time I have worked in the same office as him. He is a good person.
He is a RM Manager but a good guy.
I DO feel a bit guilty as I think my posts, including the above, may be part of the reason why hes gone with all his posts.
I will tell you that I have always regarded him as the most open, direct and honest RM Manager on site at Plymouth MDEC.
I do not know why he has gone but maybe it is JUST for the above. If that is the case then inevitably he would have been pressured.
SHAME ON YOU ROYAL MAIL.

It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
