Have you tried asking him to attend one of your Meetings?
He won't neccessarily turn up. But unless you ask, it's hardly fair to criticise him for not turning up.

To be honest, I haven't tried, myself. We get so few people turning up to ours, that I'd be embarrased. But I was told by a Rep, who actually worked with Billy Hayes, before he went to HQ. That if you ask him to. There's a good chance he'll turn up, at a time like this.

he'll turn up for one of these ? - joking apart the problem is - who will stand against him ? - who will do " no confidence " motions ?- then there's the Telecom's staff that might adore him and as much as I hate to say it , RM will love all this - sorry !

He doesn't respond to e-mails or telephone calls. Can hardly see him going on a national crusade in what is essentially the final stand.

We all know he's weak on media dealings though as a old fashioned tub thumper he can make the odd rousing pre prepared speech . In any case who wants Mr Creosote to visit picket lines and munch people out of house and home ? - times are hard enough !
