In my induction I was told NOT to help these people out! :dance

I do though, it's my nature. :wave

They don't get proper training, because that costs money. How do you think they undercut us?
They cut corners, wherever they can. But that doesn't help the poor Drivers, who're sent out with no idea where they're going. Why give them a hard time, when it's their Employer, who's at fault?
We don't like it when the Public blame us, for the deterioration in our service. So why should WE blame the so-called Competition's Drivers, when they're lost? :hmmmm

I dont think these companies stand a chance judging by some of the employees ive seen.

Yesterday had a UKmail spotty faced chav teenager walking to the house, on his phone to his mate; obviously discussing weekend plans. I went out to sign for, he carried on speaking on the phone.

Just gestured towards his PDA for a signature, all the time whilst on the phone. Then just walked off without actually having said anything.

All i can say is good luck to them, they are gonna need it :Applause

Plus, I see more and more of the competition delivering out of their cars (maybe something picked up from RM) and driving around lost whilst looking for some address that's up some small lane around the back of someones house.

I never give them directions. They want to "compete" with us, fair enough, but they'll "compete" with no help from me.

They don't get proper training because that costs money. You sure you're not talking about RM.

Christ what a bunch of jobsworths! Delivery drivers are just doing a job, the same as us. Do you think any of them give a sh*t about 'competing' with RM? They just want to get finished and go home.

I always help them as its in my nature and the poor sods are just trying to do a job like me. If i refuse, well there going to find it anyway and make the delivery so what do you gain.
The only bunch i dont really help are a crew which come on to my area to deliver leaflets. They arrive in packs of normally eight via a white van with a bag of d2d's on thier back and a list of road names. Most cant speak english and its "Hey you where this". they then stomp right across lawns and through flower beds which i get blamed for :mad :mad
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Well, I've never thought about it in quite those terms.
Don't think I ever will, either.
