More info about this strike on the Royal Mail website. http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/cont ... =102200776" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
What makes me laugh is the bit that says there might be a slight delay to delivery of items in Wallasey this week. :left: :mfo :cfo

Royal Mail must change

Royal Mail must change and modernise how our business operates for customers and we are making strong progress in doing so. We face real challenges; the decline in traditional mail use, the impact of the economic recession and ever stronger competition. This is alongside the unavoidable need to modernise the ways we work. We are making changes in a calm, measured and structured way, :left: :left: inviting involvement and dialogue with our unions and our people, :left: :left: seeking to minimise service disruption to our customers, whilst we change.

Royal Mail is continuing to talk with the CWU and our people :left: underlining the impact of disruption on customers and on Royal Mail’s business and reputation. Contingency plans are in operation in affected areas including Royal Mail managers working in to keep as many services running for customers as we can during industrial action.

well done gone postal! :Applause .to you and all the posties of wallasey,dont look at it as a defeat as you said you could of single handidly had a bad effect on the national ballot(that is a big burden to carry,as we have to give every postie a chance to show these bullies that the whole country isnt happy)..top marks to you all,you should be very proud of everyone in that office....you are very lucky that you have an office of spartans!!!..i for one know that there are some offices out there that will envy the fact that they wish they had the same posties working for them!....once again well done wallasey you have certainly got the union and rm worried but for all the right reasons!(time for a big wake up call!) :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause

Just the sort of action deplored by royal mail as they cannot orcestrate the bullshit press with innuendo and decit that of course trickles down (conference calls ) from the failed fa action man :cfo

well done for giving them a big fright bet they don't push you when you go back :Applause :Applause :Applause

GonePostal, it's a victory for you. :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause :Applause
You and your colleagues can return with your heads held high,
knowing that you stood up for yourselves (and the rest of us)
and took everything RM could throw at you. I only wish all postal
workers were as strong as you.
