It's Doc Martens, Levi's and Harrington for this old skinhead. I can't stand wearing that Royal Mail stuff.

Our union rep told us at gate meeting today, to wear our uniforms as it gives us more visible profile, civvies would make us look more like Joe Public. Also another point I was interested in, kicking strike breakers out of the union, all in favour of, but I remember back in '96 we were told the same thing, and it never happened. One colleague worked ('96) left union, but re-joined earlier this year to use them to try and save her from the sack. :no no :no no :no no

Hi cornishrep, what you need is a bottle of Blair's Megadeath chilli sauce, it is DEADLY! Phg in RLE put some in choclates and gave them to a sweet-toothed colleague, nearly took his head off!!! I guarantee the manager would'nt be back for seconds!

Frankie, and did they save `Her` from the sack? and, have asked our `team` to wear Uniform if possible, remains to be seen if they do.

then poke two up his nostrels and one up his arse.
the latter would have to be carried out by an approprately qualified technician.

How long will it be before a new bosses friendly union makes an appearance?

Union of Democratic postmen or some such name will have Leighton and Crazier creaming their collective pants.

Better we keep the strike breakers and their money in our union, the reps can always give them the "appropriate represantion" can't they?

Can someone clarify the uniform situatuion, we aint heard nowt about this..

I'm due on picket duty at 0430 and was planning on wearing me usual RM gear but the manager here is such a vindictive, humourless, uncharasmatic and spitefull piece of work that she'll delight in enforcing an infringement of rules.

Regarding the uniform thing, like i said i thought it was a bit strange as no one on here has mentioned it before.
But interestingly we were told to wear our jackets as a sign that we worked for RM in case the press were there.
So a contradiction if there ever was one,but i would suggest that if you haven't been told NOT to wear it then wear it.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

KICK EM OUT

Post by coppertop »

Yes they should be thrown out. We have a female postie in our office who moans and groans all the bloody time about how things are , but she has decided to cross the line tommorow as she did not think that it would reach this far. But far worse than that is the postie who is going in on his day off his only reason he can earn so good money out off it. I hope it chokes him :evil/mad :coolr :coolr

The BNP are trying to get their own union started. You can't get much more boss friendly than a union based on a party which has a land owner in charge and which attracts the terminaly thick to its ranks.
