I wonder if Adam Cozier said send them to a school in Gorbals to learn the art of Propaganda - Area Managers miss-heard.

Instead of sending them to Adelphi Terrace School, Gorbals. Image

they sent this guy to brief them Image

not only do they spout their propaganda, they believe it,and cant even see the folly they face themselves, they will be next to face the axe,but you could probably cut half the managers duties and nobody would notice, the work would get done. crash glasgow

can you believe 349 members didnt or couldnt vote, but isuppose thats normal these days in any ballots or elections within or outwith royal mail and againjohnson GMC wont be going on strike with this "local" ballot we will wait for the national ballot .This ballot could have been better handled by Glasgow Amal eg.get your fingers out and go talk to the members tell them exactly what is happening nobody knows who the f***k you all are dont just stick letters and ltbs on notice boards and think thats good enough this ballot was almost a NO vote and thats down to the branch not communicating effectivley COME ON GUYS GET OUT THERE TALK TO US REMEMBER KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

Totally agree with the happy ones the reps on the floor can only do so much but on the same note whenever there has been local meetings called they have been very poorly attended with the same faces turning up time after time..and by the looks of things there will be action called !

agree that lack of communication is a problem in GMC but its not just fro the faceless branch, there is no communication on the floor either! there are also another couple of things to consider, ie. the high number of non-members and the fact that a lot of punters don't give a f!*k, witness the numbers who have scabbed in the past.

I agree that communication on the floor could be better but considering there is 900 people in GMC its not always possible thats why people should read the CWU notice board regularly.
Also we do have a problem with people crossing picket lines but on a percentage it is probably very small.. those type of people are not worth discussing any way. Let them live with their own guilty conscience.
At the end of the day we are entering a critical time for the future of our jobs and this industry and I know the majority of people in the GMC want a future and want a union and they know that to achieve that we have to make a stand.
The others who know who they are have always been and always will be the insignificant minority. :cfo

Why give up on Strike Breakers?
Sometimes you can convince them of the error of their ways. You'd be surprised how many are so scared of the short term financial consequences, that they actually think they're protecting their Families, by crossing the lines. And don't realise that in the long run. They're going to risk much worse hardships, if they don't stand up, and fight against injustices.

Obivously, there will always be a "hard core", who will never understand that Strike Breaking is wrong. And will continue to do it, regardless of what any of us say. But surely, it's worth a try isn't it? :hmmmm
I've seen people start off as Strike Breakers. And go on to Strike with the rest of us. And I'm not the only one, who's seen those successes either.

anyone know what input the local reps had regarding what day the action would be on? or were they just "following orders!" good to know all the reps are singing from the same hymn sheet for a change(not!) no two of them were saying the same thing. once more into the breach.
