A 39-year-old man has been arrested after a roof-top protest at a sorting office in Staffordshire.
The sorting office in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, was evacuated after Paul Dawson climbed onto the roof in protest at being sacked by Royal Mail.
Police said he was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
Royal Mail said earlier deliveries to the post in the ST6 area would be "significantly disrupted" as a result of the protest.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said the man on the roof of the depot voluntarily surrendered to police as a result of officers' negotiations.
'Apology demand'
Mr Dawson said earlier he went on the roof because he was sacked after a roof-top protest in March.
He began his first protest to demand an apology after he was suspended, along with 11 other staff, over allegations of bullying and harassment over an alleged incident in 2007.
The Communication Workers' Union (CWU), said he was reinstated after an investigation but had never received an apology.
Royal Mail said Mr Dawson had now been dismissed after an internal conduct procedure.
"We do not discuss the details of individual personnel matters," a Royal Mail spokeswoman added.
