Smart jumpers?
I think they looked smart - they were before my time, but I have seen older posties in my DO wearing them.k979aaa wrote:I have still got mine keep's you warm in the winter if we get another ice age i will be ok!.majeed wrote:Why do you single-out those jumpers for the privilege of the description, "shite"?swoosta wrote:Stretchy itchy with elbow pads ...looked 10 sizes too small

I thought those jumpers were brilliant, looked smart and most importantly kept you warm unlike the cheap sh*t we get now

Re: Shite Jumpers
The dark blue jumpers were brilliant when it was really cold, but boy, did they make the skin itch. But I always thought they were smart. As has been said, why did they do away with the thermal jacket with detachable sleeves ? Smart and comfortable, I only chucked mine when I left the job. Far better than those awful Harrington jackets.

Nothing wrong with the harringtons, but the fleeces are crap. Totally agree that the thermal coats were the best, still have mine but its a little snug
for work now so I use it when I'm gardening. I've still got the jumper somewhere, itchy as f***.
